Gun lobby web site seeks to capitalize on letter carrier’s death

A gun lobby web site in Ohio is using the tragic death of a letter carrier in Canton, Ohio as fodder for its campaign to further loosen the state’s gun laws. The group apparently feels that the way to make Ohio safer is to have more guns on the street, not fewer. The item includes this gem: “As a postal worker, Milburn likely carried pepper spray to defend herself from potential dog attacks, as United States Postal Service regulations imply that even lawfully carried firearms are prohibited in their building. Milburn was more than likely denied the right to carry a firearm on the job.”

Research has shown that states with loose gun control laws, and “concealed carry” laws have lower crime rates! The reason? The criminals don’t know who is armed.

The opposite situation is New York City. They have VERY TIGHT gun control laws, yet their gun crime rates are sky high. NYC is a perfect example of that anti-gun control saying, “When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.” It’s true!

The gun lobby is correct. More guns equal less crime.

here in fla anyone can have a gun.people are shot and killed, injured every week.kids shoot each other showing off their relatives guns, all the time,as the public has the right to bear arms, but no knowledge or smarts on how to care for it or lock it up.more kids have shot each other than i can believe.i have never shot a pistol in my life ,but i can be the proud owner of a 357 if i wish.i can buy it right out of the trunk of a car,at a gun show ,legally.down here people are afraid to blow their car horn at someone for fear of being shot by a person with the right to bear arms…i have never read about someone shooting a would be criminal, but i have read about someone shooting their friend, cousin, daughter…if you are going to allow this right to bear arms, people ought to at least be required to have a safety course…yeah, right,,,,
