LOL! That’s my post office, the one responsible for misdelivering my mail. I even remember when they first put up the bulletproof partitions there. Frankly, they’re all pretty much incompetent there and I’m not surprised customers go postal like that. I *am* surprised that someone was allowed to record it though; I thought that was against postal regulations.
I remember when the senior window clerk (well, he *said* that’s what he was) had hairplugs put in. Eeew! They let him wait on customers even though he had scabs and stuff on his head.
The clerk should have called the Manager and while she should not have gotten in
an altercation with the customer I can see where clerks get frustrated and react
this way. Had customers like this when I took over a PO; gave strict instructions to
my clerks to call me or the supervisor we would handle it. Hey, it worked, customers knew not to even try this kind of attitude with anyone in the PO. Treat customers with respect and customers need to treat employees the same. That bell alone
would be enough to drive people at the window mad including the clerks!
Are you going to tell me that there was not 1 manager with a set to come up and get this under control. Crap, you are BEHIND bullet proof glass. Call the cops, get up there and get the situation under control by saying simlply, “The Police will be here shortly. How may I help you?”

The clerk should “never” made a negative response to the customer. She is behind the glass. The customer ‘can’t’ get to her. She should have contacted her supervisor and let the supervisor handle this customer. If the customer did not calm down I would have called the police and had him removed. Once he started calling the clerks all those unmentionable names he would have been gone. As for the video of this incident. It was a postal customer who video taped this on her cell phone in the lobby.

What was this guys beef about to begin with? That there were not enough windows open, or what?
