Text of the email referred to in the minutes of the HQ/Management Associations meeting today:

The meeting of the United States Postal Service Board of Governors has resulted in the approval of establishing HR Performance Teams to initiate the following Shared Service Concepts for roll out by end of FY-2009.

Safety-S&H Support
Training-PEDC Support
Operations-Program Support
Operations-Address Management Support

The concept phase which ends quarter two will establish protocols and procedures which will be enacted by quarter four 2009.

New programs and initiatives would result in the elimination
Of 1,518 local positions nationwide.
