Good (bosses) are a thing of the past. Almost all, in
every hard working American's life are in management
to get some for themselves. Nothing will ever change at the post office until Obama appoints our next postmas-
ter general who is truely loyal to the P.O. its employees and the USPS clients, instead of that attitude of; "what can I put in my pocket while I'm here." If the crooks
in the P.O. are weeded out at the top first and they
work their way down we could possibly end up with the
postal service we once were proud to be part of.

Only a Postal Employee would know the ills and evils of this. I'm a retired letter carrier from NE Ohio and we see the bonusus paid our local do nothings. It really makes you want to go out and bust your butt so they can get more the next year. And they stay inside and play video games all day. I see Potter got "just a small one".

ok, I see - I, just like all of you get upset about $$$..But do not tell me that anyone of you dont get upset when someone else gets something you don't....That is what started the blog to begin with.

As for carrying...I did...for 13 years. I then fell through roof chasing an iraqi through the rooftops in Baghdad in 2001. So, don't talk before you know what it is your talking about. Unless you have 14 inches of lower right leg you can give me back!!!!!

As for being lumped into one group.....not just postal employees read this blog....the post I mentioned makes it sould like we are ALL TERRIBLE. I for one still pay my dues to my original NALC branch!!!!! I believe in the union!!!!

I take heat every year from my superiors as I am one of dying breed that request "adding" routes to my office, award my employees with gift card (my own pocket) birthday cards, office meals (my own pocket), perfect attendance gifts ect...and to tell you the truth....It makes me so frustrated to have an employee shred his Lands End Jacket that he got for perfect attendance and give it back in a bag and state.."I don't decerve this...it came from management and the only reason I am here everyday is to suck as much OT as I can and cause you stress..."

I know where I stand

I think that the payments are only a fraction of the bonus' given nation wide. If you have your years in as a craft employee you no longer get step increases. COLA's are in the tank right now. We have a negotiated agreement between management and craft. (.That is right both sides signed it.) yet, management seems to violate it on a daily basis. You complain about your compensation but yet you are the one that wanted to be management and not one of the finest and most respected craft employees in the country. So call the Wambulance already.

Hey bsummerfield--- Yea, we are serious ! I think someone hit a nerve with you saying that All management is lumped into the same pile. Unless the shoe fits you should not be bothered by such comments. Also, you mention craft loves to berate the payments you get. We get one payment every two weeks. How many do you get ? You also say to go cry to someone else..... Listen to your words: Yet I no longer get OT, no longer get step increases, no longer get COLA's and have no gaurantee that I will get your so called bonus each year.... Wait a minute, was that you, I just heard sniffle? Come on over I have a box of kleenex I will share. One more, if you are not grouped with the " BAD" management, when was the last time you recognized one of your employees for a job well done? Maybe it is the work they do that allows you to get a bonus.

These bonuses amont to stealing. Bad enough I have to put in 10 hour days while they've cheated many on NPA, then I had to read this. I'll have to cut my expenses this year so I'll start with paying all my bills online, using fedex, ups for packages, stop paper statements and go green, block my credit report from unwanted promotions from bankrupted companies needing handouts. I bet they'll get a higher bonus next year. As for the banks, move my money to credit union and community banks.

are you serious with all your complaints about "bonus payments"? Yes - some of these are crazy...but I love how craft employees lump ALL management into the same pile. I guess its a good thing we dont lump all good craft with the bad...and you know they are out there...the bad ones....

...You love to berate the payments that I get, but I have never received anything like those listed above, yet I no longer get OT, no longer get step increases, no longer get COLA's and have no gaurantee that I will get your so called bonus each year....Yet when I pass out paystubs every two weeks I am always one of the least paid employees in my 87 employee office.....

so, go cry to someone else.
