OIG refers Columbus Postmaster case to US Attorney
TweetWRBL TV in Columbus GA reports that the USPS Office of the Inspector General has handed its investigation of former Columbus Postmaster Jerry Schafer over to the US Attorney’s office for possible prosecution.
Schafer was suspended in October as the OIG investigated “misuse of postal government information, which is a violation of the Privacy Act”. He retired in December.
