Yeah, get rid of a few more clerks............our supervisors are doing clerk work every morning just to get us out the door, and we still have "Waiting For Mail" time 2-3 days a week. Hey, I don't mind standing around while I am on the clock. They know what they are doing,....................

I doubt if clerks are the backbone of the organization. Everyone is the backbone (except management).

What I think is interesting is the fact that our revenue has stayed almost the same, but our expenses keep going up. WHY??
I do believe that the USPS is looking to retire or do away with lots of employees via the "flat sorting machines". These same machines require a "football field to where house them". We keep buying and refurbishing buildings and purchasing new equipment, when the volume of flats is not going to be there to justify their use/purchase. How many billions of dollars could we be saving????

PS: this report is nothing new. The reality is; we will have to do more with less clerks (the backbone of our organization) which means that the carriers will start later in the day and our customers (our primary purpose) will get their mail even later in the day. :(! OUCH...

What a surprise! Headquarters staff will grow, and the workers will shrink. Then they will demand more discipline and productivity while they abuse their travel cards, and trips.. don't forget the bonuses!!!
