does this mean that all the “team” members are to report

It means they will all be crowded around their respective desks on telecoms planning their next move to abolish the workers who keep their sorry asses up so it will free up more money for them. After the carriers get out, there is a 1 to 1 ratio in my office. 5 supervisors harassing 5 employees.

I don’t know how they expect
us to do our jobs with so few
    bosses.

I was told today that the kansas city area had opened up 20 supervisor positions and plan
on feeling them within in the next 2 months.

To think people are ashamed of the place they work for because of the people in charge. Where did those people come from. Were they not your co-workers not so long ago. How about the people who want to get paid to not work while on the clock. Or the cry babies who can’t finish their over burdened routes without overtime and who are so blind they can’t see the mail volume that has disappeared right before their eyes. Give me a break. If you life sucks it’s because you want it to suck. If you don’t like your job there are others out there. Shut up and earn your money. For the money we get paid the least we can do is work.

David makes an excellent point. My question would be, what do people expect? Is there some company out there that pays unskilled labor as well as the USPS that is perfect? Is there a company out there where all the workers love their management? Not at UPS or FedEx. As David was saying, take responsibility for your own circumstances and own your life; if you don’t like it, change it. Or…maybe they’re just addicted to whining.

Postal Blue is just another totally unqualified supervisor “KissASS” The Postal Service is horribly mismanaged. You can’t keep hiring your lazy buddies or dumb neighbors and promote them to managers and expect a good work enviroment.

Do you think they will find a way around this? Do you think some light is finally shining on their dirty deeds? Managenet and the union not getting along will be the ultimate downfall of the service. Potter has his he is totally unaware much like the BP executive

oh and its all management fault??? I agree that things that are done are stupid . but we all need to do
front lin supervisors do not have any say with the new stuff that comes out. if I had to do all over again i would have never worked for the po.

    Rural Carrier

This rural carrier loves her job. I’m glad to have one. I’ve been at it for 12 years now. We all need to remember to be grateful for what we’ve been given and do our best everyday. Stop cutting corners, be nice to our customers, and stop whining! The definition to complaining is NAGGING!

I agree with rural carrier, we should be all thankful for our jobs period!!!

There are some lazy Postmasters and supervisors, no doubt, but there are also some lazy carriers and clerks and they give the P.O a very bad image. I truely do believe that people want to do a good job and take pride in what they do.

All this blame game stuff is ridiculous, if a Postamster or supervisor messes up, they should step up and take responsibilty and lead by example, as well as the craft employees.

I’ve been a postal employee for 22 years and 10 of those years have been in as a front line supervisor, I am in a great office, with wonderful employees, who really do care about there jobs and take pride in what they do!!

I respect them and they respect me and the Postmaster, beacuse we lead by example.

Again, I know it’s not like that in every P.O., but I am very fortunate and love working for the P.O.
With all that is going on in the world, I am blessed to have a job, healthy child and a great wife!!

Think about it. There is more to lfe than just the P.O.!!!!

I always do the best I can. I always put our customers first. Unfortunately, whether you want to admit it or not, most of the lower level supervisors and managers are not qualified to hold positions that have requirements and obligations that they have. They do not have the knowledge of their own (postal) regulations and many believe they can make it up as they go along. They have been assisted by clerks, carriers, and maintenance employees to get the job done and done right all along. Now, there has been an elimination of 25% or more of the clerks in some offices and soon to be an elimination of a third of the carriers. The employees under attack are not as interested in doing management’s job for them. Pointing out what needs to be done or has been neglected or what will cause a problem if left as is – is no longer a priority of employees under attack. Employees under attack feel that management should earn the money in the paycheck they cash too. And by god – they should earn it by knowing what needs to be done, what will cause a problem if left as is and what is being neglected. Frustration and stress abound on all levels with the mass excessing and cuts. Each level must do its own job correctly, expediently and professionally to satisfy our customers. Talking out your backside and looking good in front of your boss or your bosses boss will not make scans timely or shorten wait times in line. There is less room to hide and hide mistakes. Everyone will have to live up to higher expectations. And the people that have the farthest to climb to live up to their job expectations are management. So its time to roll up your sleeves, try harder and do better.
